There are two special internship opportunities I wanted to call to your attention.  Both opportunities are located in downtown Ottawa with a flexible 9-10 hour per week commitment for about 8 weeks.  Although they are unpaid, each promises to be a good addition to your resume and allow you to form new contacts with the Ottawa business community (potentially businesses looking to hire OU students).  I have met personally with John Coen, Director of the Ottawa Chamber of Commerce and Jeff Seymour, Director of the Franklin County Development Council.  Each explained how they work with all types of new and existing Ottawa businesses.  There are potential openings for both summer and fall, so upon applying indicate when you would like to start.  We anticipate this to be an ongoing internship, with new students starting after another’s term ends.
